Welcome To My Senior Thesis Portfolio
Students enrolled in the Architectural Engineering major at Penn State are required to complete a year long capstone project to complete the five year professional degree. This project consists of obtaining an outside sponsor who provides the student with an actual building that will be used as a model for the various technical and management tasks throughout the year. Students will investigate the project, perform technical analyses, develop project criteria, and prepare a written proposal for more advanced design work. The year culminates with a final written proposal and verbal presentation to faculty.
My Senior Thesis is based on Ringgold Middle School, located in Monangahela, Pennsylvania. The new middle school will house grades five through eight, and will now be located on the same campus as Ringgold's high school. More information on the project can be found in the menu above.

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web‐based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year‐long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering.
